ZF Alpha Update #14

Welcome back explorers, innovators, and colonisers!

We’ve been working hard to bring you the next update for Zenith Frontier and provide you with the tools and resources to conquer the hostile, expansive galaxy.

Other tweaks and updates:

  • Missions now have a preparation phase. This is when activities such as refueling, crew drills, cargo loading, etc., will be performed.

  • Logging of environment object behaviours to assist development.

  • Prevented unnecessary execution of discovery and exploration logic for cosmic bodies that are already known.

  • Fixed a bug with the pillars that indicate a system’s position.

A Look Ahead

We’re now working on the rendering of planets so that their appearance reflects the properties produced by the procedural generation and physical simulation systems. This should not only provide more information to the player, but also introduce a lot more visual diversity that will make Zenith Frontier’s interface more appealling!
